South Yarra Project
Characteristic of French design are the horizontal lines that are carried through in all details, from the flowing balconies, the detailing of the internal paneling, to the ribbed details of the external fascias. The design appears to float over a rustic stone base with deep, visually dramatic open cantilevered balconies, curved to present the optimum aspect of the views. The flowing form hints at the best of French Deco design of the interwar period, but reinterpreted with a distinctly contemporary perspective. This results in apartments of great flexibility and functionality, with an interior receptive to both contemporary or more traditional furnishings. Alexandra offers a warm character, enriched by touches of refined detail, natural materials including high quality stones and timbers, and a discriminating selection of fittings and equipment.
